Loo se bachne ke ayurvedic tarike: In the summer season, the heat is most disturbing. If this happens to anyone, then the problem doubles. As the hot summer days approach, the dryness increases rapidly. According to Ayurveda, during this time our Vata dosha starts increasing, causing skin rashes, sunburns and dehydration. Digestive problems like acidity, indigestion, acid reflux and nausea are also common during the summer season. In such a situation, experts have given some Ayurvedic health tips to avoid heatstroke, by adopting which you can get rid of all these things.
Eat these four things to deal with the heat wave
1) Isabgol
As the temperature rises, your digestive system becomes slow and weak, due to which there are digestive problems. It may sound strange, but when the seasons change, our stomachs react differently. Dehydration, heat exhaustion, stroke and loss of appetite are all troubles in the summer. According to research, isabgol or psyllium can help maintain intestinal health, especially in summer. Psyllium is rich in mucilage and alimentary fiber.
2) Amla
According to Ayurveda, the cooling properties balance both the vata and pitta doshas, while the drying ability balances the kapha dosha. This green, sour-tasting fruit is a great way to stay cool in the summer. Consuming raw gooseberry in summer keeps the body cool and protects it from ‘loo’ or scorching winds. It can be eaten in a variety of ways such as its juice, raw, pickle, powder, or as a homemade sweet marmalade.
3) Wheatgrass
Wheatgrass is rich in vitamin C, which can help you beat this heat. It not only prevents skin infection but also helps in preventing heat rash and fatigue. Wheatgrass juice helps in flushing out toxins from the whole body. Wheatgrass also helps convert carbs into energy, which keeps you energized.
4) Gulkand
Heat causes exhaustion, lethargy and fatigue as well as burning on the palms and soles. It rejuvenates the system and has antioxidant effect. In summers, there is a burning sensation in the stomach due to acidity or flatulence. Gulkand relieves stomach discomfort while at the same time soothing the intestines.
