Senior neurosurgeon Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal told Local18 about cervical problems in children that usually such problems occur in old age, which arise due to weakening of bones. But today cervical pain has become common. In cervical problem, suddenly there is severe pain in a particular part of the neck. The structure of our body rests on the spine. The neck and waist area is very flexible. When we ignore the natural nature of the spine, problems start arising.
Children’s school bags are getting heavier rapidly
Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal said that a major reason for cervical problems in children is the heavy school bag and less physical activity. Due to the use of mobile phones, TV and lack of physical activity, their muscles do not develop, due to which they are unable to lift the weight of the school bag. The weight of the bag causes stiffness in the waist, shoulders and neck of such children.
This problem is increasing even among small children
Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal explains that the reason behind this is the trend of mobile, TV and most of the things in our life being digital. All these devices are a boon as well as a curse for us. Earlier people used to go to the library to get information but in the present time all the information is available on the internet in your mobile. Due to which people’s neck remains bent throughout the day. Due to this type of posture continuously, changes start coming in the spine. Due to which this problem is being seen even in young children today.
What is the root cause of the problem?
Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal told that many small children come to us complaining of back pain, even disc problems. The reason for this is that we never paid attention to it. To solve the problem, we first have to understand the correct posture of the body (Posture Correction), do exercises related to the spine, diet is the main reason for this. Your diet makes your body. If you eat only fast food, then it is natural that this problem will arise. If you keep these important things in mind, then you will not have such problems.

Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal told that cervical pain is a problem related to bones. It causes pain in the neck, shoulder or spine. This problem can occur at any age, but is especially common in people who have a bad daily routine.
