People usually file a petition citing harassment and exploitation in their country. Providing citizenship to people is done under the Citizenship Act 1955, which has been amended several times.
What are citizenship provisions?
Now if someone has to prove his citizenship or apply for citizenship, then there are many provisions. Every person born in India after 26 January 1950 is a citizen of India.
