The government has said that ration cards will be deleted for not providing e-KYC of ration cards till the scheduled deadline, in such a situation they will not get the benefit of other facilities including free ration. In such a situation, a large-scale fraud has started on e-KYC and money is being collected from ration card holders for e-KYC. Actually, a link is being sent to the ration card holders in the name of online e-KYC, on which the scams account is being vacated as soon as it is clicked.

There have also been many cases where ration card dealers or agents are collecting money from ration card holders in the name of e-KYC. They are being charged from Rs 10 to Rs 50. Such complaints are being received from many districts every day. Let us tell you that the government has entrusted the responsibility of e-KYC of all ration card holders to the Kotdars and this work is completely free. This means that you will not have to pay a single penny to get a ration card.

This is how e-KYC can do

To get an e-KYC, first go to the nearest government ration shop in your area. Verify the identity through fingerprint or OTP on the Point of Sale (POS) machine available here. After this, submit Aadhaar card, ration card, residence certificate and passport size photo. The e-KYC process will be completed after all documents and identity are verified.
