Therefore, it is important to consume them in limited quantities.
How much sugar should one eat daily?
Adults (average 2000 calorie diet) – 50 grams (10% of total daily food consumption)
Adolescents (11-18 years) – 25 grams
Children (7-10 years) – 20 grams
Children (4-6 years)-15 grams
Young children (1-3 years)- 12.5 grams
According to experts, these are general figures. These may vary according to the physical needs of the individual.
Eating too much sugar can increase the risk of these diseases
