But if your account is of some other bank and the account in which the money has gone. Both are different banks. Then it may take time to get your money back. If you have accidentally sent money to the wrong UPI number. So you can request the person to return the money. For this, if you want, you can share the transaction information with that person as proof. However, the chances of getting your money back are slim.

Apart from this, the UPI app through which you have done the transaction. You can lodge your complaint by calling its customer care. For this you will also have to provide transaction information.
After sending money to the wrong UPI number, you can talk to the customer support officer of your bank. They can lodge their complaint. Apart from this, you should lodge a complaint about wrong UPI transaction with National Payment Corporation of India i.e. NPCI. Apart from this, you can also complain by calling 1800-120-1740.
