Today’s high speed in the world, the more human beings are moving forward in the outside world, the more it is getting entangled from within. The virtual world of modern lifestyle, competition and social media has put us in an endless race to compare us to others and prove ourselves superior. The biggest enemy in this race that is within us is – ego (ego). Ego is not a simple emotion, but a mental structure that binds a person in a false and extreme image of himself. When we begin to consider ourselves as “best”, “right”, “better than”, we gradually start moving towards insecurity, fear, hatred and confusion-and all these negative feelings are ego at the root of all these negative emotions.
Insecurity grows from ego
As soon as a person starts thinking of his “I” at the center, he starts worrying about his reputation, identity and superiority in everything. When someone disagrees with him, criticizes him or performs better, he starts feeling insecure within. This insecurity either breaks him in quietly, or comes out as an outrage and aggression as a reaction.
The feeling of “I am superior” gives rise to fear and hatred
A arrogant person always lives in the fear that no one breaks the image of his superiority. This fear makes him a vigilant, but a suspicious. He considers the success of others a threat to himself and gradually distances from them or starts hating them. In this way the ego directly gives rise to hatred and competitive malice.
Ego nourishes misconceptions
When a person considers himself ‘complete’, he hesitates to accept anything new. He gets away from changing himself, learning and introspection. In such a situation, he starts looking at the world and relationships around him in the frame of his own thinking, which makes his perceptions limited and often wrong. This false attitude causes sourness, communication gap and emotional distance in relationships.
What is the solution?
The first step to defeat the ego – to accept that we can also be wrong. Afformity and humility can break this mental inertia. Meditation, meditation, self -consciousness and good ideas connect man to themselves and gives the power to accept others. It is important to understand that humility is not a weakness but a sign of high self -realization. A person who is strong from within does not need to express his superiority. Such individuals easily give place to others, learn and earn respect in true sense.
