Lifestyle News Desk, People eat potato-cabbage parathas with great enthusiasm, but have you ever eaten Bathua parathas? Even today in villages, people make spicy Bathua parathas. Parathas are easily prepared by mixing bathua in flour. Bathua’s Parathas are so tasty to eat that after eating them once, you will be tempted to eat them again and again. So today let us tell you the recipe of making Bathua Paratha.
Ingredients to make Bathua Paratha:
2 cups wheat flour, 4 cups bathua, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp ground celery, 1 pinch asafoetida, 2 chopped green chillies, some red chilli, salt, oil and water.
Recipe to make Bathua Paratha:
Step 1: To make Bathua Parathas, first clean the Bathua and keep it for boiling. Wash the bathua with clean water 2-3 times and then keep it for boiling. Bathua can also be boiled in a wok or pan and if you are boiling it in a cooker then use only 1 whistle. When the bathua boils, let it cool and drain the water by pressing it tightly with your hands. All the water has to be drained thoroughly.
Step 2: Now add bathua, salt, cumin powder, celery, asafoetida, green chilli and red chilli in the mixer jar and grind it finely. Now knead dough from this ground mixture. To make parathas, knead a little soft dough. You can also mix some salt in the flour to taste and if you wish, you can also add 1-2 spoons of oil.
Step 3: Now roll out the dough and make Bathua Paratha. Apply dry flour, roll the paratha slowly and gently and put it on the pan. Now apply ghee and fry the paratha until it becomes pink from both the sides. Bathua’s stuffed paratha is ready, eat it with sauce, chutney, butter or curd.
