Lifestyle News Desk,Wondering if your relationship is going down in the dumps? Are you always bickering and arguing and thinking about life without your partner? Maybe it’s time to take a break. Yes, we’ve all seen and heard about the epic Friends episode where Ross and Rachel don’t exactly call it quits, but take a break from each other. Maybe that’s what your relationship wants too!
Here are some signs that indicate you need to take a break from your relationship.
You are constantly fighting
From the time you wake up to the time you head to bed, you are fighting. Via text, on the phone and even in person. Fights and arguments are healthy but only to a certain extent. Too much of anything is definitely bad.
You get easily annoyed by everything your partner does
Sometimes, your tolerance level goes too low and everything your partner does starts bothering you. This is not your fault and can involve a variety of feelings such as not being supported, being emotionally drained, etc.
You need more space
No one likes to have the other person constantly breathing down their neck. Everyone needs their personal space and when that is invaded, things don’t end well for either of you. When you are constantly questioned about your whereabouts, the people you are meeting, etc., you know it’s time to take some breaks, get the space you need to clear your mind and rethink what you want to do.
You don’t want to solve your problems
There is a solution at the end of every fight. Problems are sorted out and things get back to normal. The problem occurs when you don’t care enough to resolve your issues. This builds up things from both your ends and eventually puts you in a messy place. At such times, it’s time to take a break and rethink everything.
You avoid your partner
Many feelings are very toxic and you will do everything possible to avoid them, even if that means avoiding your partner altogether. If you find yourself avoiding your partner, creating a life without them, and making excuses to live without them, it’s time to take some time away from your relationship to see where it’s going.
You are questioning the future of your relationship
If you’re reconsidering the future of your relationship and don’t see yourself with your partner for the long term, you might want to consider taking a break to think things through. Think about what’s at stake and use the break to either test the waters on the outside, or break it off completely.
