Today’s fast pace is running away in life, but it is becoming empty from within. We meet new people every day, new relationships are formed, but they often lack truth and depth. At such a time, the words of a self -realized saint like Osho stop us to think and think – “Love is the basis of life.” This is not just an emotional or romantic idea, but a deep spiritual and truth related to existence. According to Osho, love is not a feeling, but a state of our consciousness. This is an experience that occurs when the ego ends. When someone “I” and “you” do not remain, then only love remains. Osho says, “Love is natural. Capics is learned. If you open yourself, love starts flowing automatically.” He believed that love does not depend on anyone, he is complete in itself.
Love is found in love
Osho’s love was not a traditional bond. He used to say, “Where there is bondage, there is no love. Where there is freedom, true love blossoms.” His statement challenges all the social and mental bonds that we have accepted in the name of love. According to Osho, love is neither owned nor right. It is a celebration of two independent souls, in which there is no owner. He used to see love as a spiritual practice. Osho says that true love is one that transforms you to within, breaks your ego and takes you closer to zero. And when you are zero, then you are complete.
Life incomplete without love
Osho described love as the essence of life in many discourses and books. According to him, the person who does not love is dead even while living. Life becomes a burden without love – it only exists, not life. Osho says, “Love is the bridge that leads you from materiality to spirituality.” According to him, the society has taught us a lot against love – jealousy, ownership, control – but these are all elements that kill love. Once you get into love, the person blooms from within, the waterfall of compassion, sympathy and bliss starts flowing within him.
Meditation comes from love
Osho considers love and meditation to be complementary to each other. He says that love leads you to meditation, and meditation is not based on that pure love that is not based on any object or person. Only a loving person can meditate, and only a meditative person can know the true love. They say that when you look at someone with love, your vision changes – you start looking at that person, not that person. If this approach gradually develops for everyone, then this world can become heaven.
Distance between society and love
Osho also said that society is always afraid of love. Because love brings freedom, and an independent person cannot be controlled. This is the reason that society makes many rules against love, it holds it in the chains of marriage, caste, religion and culture. Osho breaks these bonds and gives love a message to live love in his pure state. They say, “If you cannot do love, then you cannot do anything – because love is the first art of life.” According to him, it is necessary to bring love to the center to change the society, because where there will be love, there will be no violence, there will be no malice, exploitation will not happen.
