It is easy to please Lord Shiva, but the truth is that they become equally angry. Worshiping Lord Shiva on Monday is an easy way to please Lord Shiva. This day is dedicated to Lord Shiva. But in the worship of Lord Shiva, faith and right material have special significance. There are some things that are considered taboo to offer to Lord Shiva. These things should be kept in mind while worshiping Lord Shiva on Monday. 1. Tulsi leaves
The use of Tulsi leaves in the worship of Lord Shiva is considered taboo. According to mythological belief, Tulsi did penance to get Lord Vishnu as a husband and he is seen connecting with Lord Vishnu. That is why Tulsi is not offered in Shiva worship.
2. Ketki flower
The flower of Ketki (Kevada) is not offered to Lord Shiva. According to the legend, Ketki met Lord Brahma and lied about Shivling. Lord Shiva has prohibited it in worship.
3. Turmeric
Offering turmeric to Lord Shiva is forbidden. Turmeric is considered a symbol of beauty and female energy, which does not match the ascetic and solitary form of Lord Shiva.
4. Kumkum and Sindoor
Kumkum and vermilion are also not offered to Lord Shiva. Sindoor is considered dear to Maa Durga, so it should not be offered in Shiva worship.
5. Broken rice (khand)
The use of broken rice or sugarcane is prohibited in Shiva Puja. Only all the things are offered in the puja and the broken rice reflects incompleteness.
6. Coconut water
Offering coconut water to Lord Shiva is prohibited. Coconut is also believed to be related to Lord Vishnu, so it should not be offered in Shiva worship.
7. Purple, red or black flowers
Purple, red and black flowers are not used in Shiva’s worship. Only white and yellow auspicious flowers are offered in Shiva worship.
8. Tamasic items (spicy food, oil)
In the worship of Lord Shiva, no vengeful items like chilli, spices or oil are used. Lord Shiva is a symbol of sattvikta and purity.
9. conch shell
The conch is also considered related to Lord Vishnu, so it should not be offered in Shiva worship.
10. Dried dry fruits and dirty water dry fruits also do not like Lord Shiva, so they should not be offered in Shiva worship. Apart from this, do not offer contaminated water to Shiva.
