Creating a broom and munj rope is a traditional but never ending work. Even today there is a demand for a large amount of broom in rural India. This work is easy to learn and the raw material used in it is very inexpensive. Many women are earning good profits through a self -help group by doing this in small groups today.
Government and voluntary organizations are getting help
The government is now providing loans, training and marketing to women under schemes like Mudra Yojana, Self Help Group, Pradhan Mantri Employment Creation Scheme and Rural Skill Development Mission for Women Empowerment. This is providing special benefits to those women who are not educated but dare to do something.
