More than 70 types of tests will be done in CHC and PHC, Block Public Health Unit is being established

Rampur. The government is constantly improving health facilities. In this series, new labs are now being set up in CHC and PHC. It will be named Block Public Health Unit. More than 70 types of tests will be available in this lab. Due to this, patients will not have to visit the district hospital and better health services will be available at the local level.

Lab is being established under National Health Mission

There is a large network of government hospitals in Rampur district. This includes the district hospital as well as five community health centers and primary health centers at the tehsil level. Six urban primary health centers and about 200 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are also functioning in the city. Pathology lab facility is available in the district hospital, but due to lack of labs at community and primary health centers, patients from rural areas had to get tests done at private labs at expensive rates. Under the National Health Mission, this step is an important effort towards better health services in rural areas. This will not only provide cheap and accessible testing facilities to the people, but treatment will also be effective due to timely detection of the disease.

Machinery and equipment are being installed

Nodal officer Dr. Santosh Kumar told Local 18 that lab facilities are being set up at community and primary health centers at the block level. The work of setting up machines and equipment is going on at a fast pace. Soon, facilities for about 73 types of blood tests will be available. District manager Ankit Sharma told Local 18 that the lab building has been completed at Saidnagar and Shahbad community health centers. Testing facilities will be started there soon, while construction work is also in progress at Milak, Swar and Chamraua health centers.
