Mother Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Navratri. This form of Goddess Bhagwati is very fond of offering honey or things made from it. In such a situation, you can make almond pudding with a twist. The taste of this halwa is good and it is also nutritious. So let us know how to make Almond Halwa.
To make almond pudding you will need
half cup almonds
half cup milk
2 tbsp ghee
some saffron strands
half teaspoon cardamom powder
some chopped dry fruits
a spoonful of honey
How to make halwa
To make halwa, first soak half a cup of almonds in hot water for at least 30 minutes. Then peel the skin of the almonds and put them in the blender. Add milk to it and mix it well. You have to blend it until you get a smooth paste. Now to make halwa, put almond paste in a big pan and also add one tablespoon ghee in it. Now fry it on low flame for one minute. When its color changes slightly, add sugar and then fry it while stirring continuously. Keep stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Then add 2 tablespoons saffron milk, mix and keep mixing until the halwa becomes thick. You can add ghee to the halwa if needed. When ghee starts coming out from the sides, add cardamom powder to it and mix well. Garnish with chopped nuts and honey and offer to Mata Rani.
tip
– To prepare saffron milk, soak some threads of saffron in 2 tablespoons of hot milk for 10 minutes.
– Reduce the use of sugar as you are going to add honey also.
Cook the halwa on medium to low flame.
