The best thing is that Kadhi rice, which is eaten with great enthusiasm during normal days, can be eaten even during fasting days. Ingredients required for fasting kadhi
The ingredients required to make Vrat Kadhi for approximately 3 people are – 3/4 cup peanuts soaked in water, 3/4 cup sour curd, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder (if you do not eat turmeric during the fast then skip it. ), rock salt, one teaspoon desi ghee, one teaspoon whole cumin, 1/4 teaspoon red chilli, two green chillies and 1 inch piece of ginger.
Prepare fasting kadhi like this
To make peanut kadhi during fasting, first of all add sour curd, turmeric powder, rock salt, green chilli and 1 inch piece of ginger to soaked peanuts and grind them in a mixer grinder to prepare a paste. Now keep the pan on the gas to heat. When the pan becomes hot, add some ghee in it and put the prepared peanut paste in it. Fry it for a while while stirring it with a spoon. Now add three cups of water to it and leave it to cook. The curry will be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. After this, add sprinkles to enhance its taste.
Add special tadka to curry
To add special tempering to peanut curry, first heat ghee in a pan. When the ghee becomes hot, add a little cumin and a piece of red chilli and crackle it. After this put it in the curry. In this way, your delicious Kadhi for fasting will be ready.
Ingredients for making fasting rice
Normal rice is not eaten during the fast, hence you can prepare Sama rice to eat with Kadhi. The ingredients required to make Sama rice are – 3/4 cup Sama rice, 2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp black pepper, rock salt, 1 tsp ghee.
How to make perfect rice
To make Sama rice, first heat ghee in a pan. Now add seasoning of cumin and black pepper to it. Now wash Sama rice in water and add it to it. Add rock salt as per taste on top of it. After frying the rice for 20 to 30 seconds, add water to it and keep it to cook on low flame. The rice will be cooked in 7 to 10 minutes. Now serve the delicious Kadhi Rice hot for fasting.
