The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has issued rules for the implementation of Integrated Pension Scheme (UPS). Let us tell you that these rules will be applicable from 1 April 2025. The UPS scheme is for all those central employees. Which fall under the National Pension System (NPS). If we talk about this scheme, then 50 percent of the average salary of the last 12 months of central employees will be given as pension. Which will be ensured after 25 years of service. Apart from this, there is also a guarantee of a minimum pension of Rs 10,000 per month, which will be found after 10 years of service.
Which form has to be filled?
Separate forms have been made to apply for the Integrated Pension Scheme i.e. UPS. If someone is still doing a government job. For this, he has to fill the A2 form. If someone has recently taken a government job. Therefore, he has to fill the A1 form. If a government employee has retired. So there is B2 form for this. And an employee receiving pension has died. Therefore, his wife will have to fill the B6 form for application.
How to apply for this?
All central employees can download the letter for UPS scheme from 1 April 2025 online on the CRA website https://npscra.nsdl.co.in. If any employee wants, he can also fill the form and submit it. Any employee who wants to get benefits under the Integrated Pension Scheme. They have to apply within 1 April 2025 to 3 months. Those who join the new job will have to tell within 30 days whether they want to take advantage of UPS or not.
