Nine different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped during Navratri. There is a tradition of worshiping Mother Skandamata on the fifth day after the festival starts. It is believed that if you offer Mata Rani’s favorite dish to the Goddess, then all your wishes will be fulfilled. It is believed that things made from banana are offered to Maa Skandamata. In such a situation, you can offer banana kheer to the goddess. This is quite easy to make. People who are fasting can also eat this kheer. As soon as you eat this, the weakness you are experiencing during fasting will go away immediately.

To make banana kheer you will need

-2 cups milk
-1 cup mashed banana
-1 chopped banana
– 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
– some saffron threads
Jaggery powder as per taste
– coarsely chopped cashews
– coarsely chopped almonds
– coarsely chopped pistachios
– one spoon pumpkin seeds
– 1 tablespoon raisins
– one spoon ghee

How to make banana kheer

To make banana kheer, roughly chop all the dry fruits except raisins. Then heat one spoon of ghee in a pan and roast chopped cashews, almonds, pumpkin seeds and pistachios in it. Now boil the milk on low to medium flame until it thickens. When the milk starts boiling, add saffron to it and leave it to thicken well. When the milk starts appearing thick, add cardamom powder and dry fruits to it. Saffron will gradually start losing color. When the color of saffron becomes visible in the milk, turn off the flame and add mashed banana to it. Add jaggery powder along with it. Finally, garnish the kheer with chopped banana and serve.
