Sweet pua tastes good. Apart from marriage, these puas are also made on different festivals. You can also prepare these for offering to Mother Goddess on the fourth day of Navratri. It is quite easy to make these. To make this, first take flour and then sift it. After filtering it well, keep it aside. If you are using sugar then take equal quantity of water and sugar in a pan and make one string syrup. If you are using jaggery then melt it in the pan. Now add cream to the sifted flour and beat it well. Then add sugar or jaggery syrup to it and mix well again. The more you beat it, the softer the pua will become. After mixing well, add whole black pepper and fennel to it. The solution should neither be too thick nor too thin. Now after heating ghee in the pan, fry small puas in it. Cook it until it gets good color from both the sides. Puas are ready for enjoyment.
