The decision to exclude Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav from the party and family, is stirring in the politics of Bihar. While discussions have intensified in the political corridors about this decision of Lalu, senior JDU leader KC Tyagi has reacted sharply to the matter. He has raised serious questions on Tej Pratap’s conduct, adding the dignity of private and public life.
1. ‘Private and public life is no different’
During a conversation with TV 9 Bharatvarsha, JDU leader KC Tyagi said that private and public lives are not different in politics. He said that if a person is involved in immoral activities in personal life, he cannot expect morality and honesty in public life. KC Tyagi said, “What is not good in personal life, how can he be good even in public life?”
He also asked how Lalu Prasad Yadav gave such rites to his son that he was repeatedly engulfed in controversies. Tej Pratap Yadav has been in discussion about controversial statements and behavior many times before, but this time the matter reached a serious level.
2. ‘Tej Pratap’s conduct should be taken seriously’
KC Tyagi criticized Tej Pratap Yadav’s recent behavior, saying that he is expected to responsibility as a minister, MLA and son of the Chief Minister, but he has repeatedly crossed dignity. Tyagi said that Tej Pratap made his relationship with a woman public, which is unacceptable from a social and political point of view.
According to him, this matter is not only related to the dignity of the family or party, but also to the dignity of society and politics. “Such people should be kept away from politics,” they repeated.
3. ‘Lalu’s misrule vs Nitish’s administration’
When Tyagi was asked whether this step of Lalu Prasad Yadav could be related to the upcoming assembly elections, he said that there is no dearth of issues for the election. Taking a dig at Lalu’s political history, he said that his issues like misrule, familyism, property collection and corruption are already in front of the public.
Tyagi said, “Both the black exploits of Lalu Yadav and the good governance of Nitish Kumar, both of these are electoral issues. Lalu’s bed governance on one side, on the other hand Nitish Kumar’s good governance, which punishes criminals and rehears the law.”
4. ‘Prime Minister Modi and Nitish will lead the election’
Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bihar, KC Tyagi said that PM Modi’s arrival in Bihar is a general process and he has a deep affection for the state. He also said that on April 22, the Prime Minister had talked about the elimination of terrorism from Bihar itself and now his visit is scheduled on 29 May.
Tyagi further said that Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar together will lead the possible assembly elections in October-November. Along with this, he indicated that PM Modi can also give some special gift to the people of Bihar.
