Sugar syrup is used to make some sweets. In such a situation, when these sweets are made at home, the taste gets spoiled due to the syrup not being prepared properly. Many times the syrup is either cooked too much or it becomes too thin. This is the reason why the sweet does not get the taste that it should have. Sugar syrup is made differently for every sweet. Apart from sugar, it is also made from jaggery. Here we are telling you the method of making perfect syrup.

Correct estimation of water and sugar

It is very important to know the correct proportion for making syrup. If the correct amount of sugar and water is not taken then the syrup will not be good. In such a situation, always take equal amount of water and sugar. Then mix them and boil them. If you are making syrup to make Gulab Jamun, then make half string or one string syrup. If the syrup is thicker than this then Gulab Jamun will not be made properly.

Thin syrup is used in many sweets

If you want to make sweets like Boondi Laddu, Mysore Pak, Coconut Barfi, or Kaju Katli, always make thin syrup. To make it, take equal amounts of sugar and water and cook until the sugar dissolves completely.

Winter sweets will be made with thick syrup

Chikki is widely consumed during winters. It can be made at home as well. Thick syrup is used to make it at home. Laddu and chikki can also be made from this syrup. This syrup is quite thick. For this, two-string syrup will also have to be cooked for 4 to 5 minutes.
