But regarding this, now Railways has made a big announcement that Railways will provide complete bed roll kit in AC coaches to the passengers with RAC tickets. Railways has taken this decision by adding the charge of bed roll kit in the ticket. Due to which it will definitely become more convenient for the passengers to travel on RAC tickets.
In Indian Railways, when someone’s ticket is not confirmed and is not even in the waiting list, then he becomes RAC. That is, reservation instead of cancellation means that you will get a set only when someone cancels his ticket. It is not that seats are not available in RAC.
You get a seat but only half. Earlier if you were traveling in one you only got half the bed roll kit. But now according to the new rules of Railways, if you have RAC ticket in AC coach. Then you will get the entire bed roll cut. Passengers traveling on RAC tickets will get many facilities as per the rules of the Railways.
Earlier, there was no provision of bed roll for passengers traveling on RAC tickets. In case of RAC tickets, Railway Board had introduced the facility of providing bed roll in AC coaches in the year 2017. Both passengers traveling on RAC tickets were provided two sheets, one blanket, one pillow and one towel in the bedroll. But now according to the new rules of Railways, passengers traveling on RAC tickets will be given two blankets, two sheets, two pillowcases and two towels.
