Lifestyle News Desk !!! Our new generation has been taught half the incomplete history till now, on the basis of which it is assured that only Mahatma Gandhi was paramount in liberating India from the British. But this cannot be called right because before handling Gandhi’s leadership, the trio of the child-red-lap had burnt the bugle of rebellion and burnt the bugle of freedom. One of them was Lala Lajpat Rai, whose today is the 158th birth anniversary. He is also known as ‘Punjab Kesari’.
Based on the facts of history, it can be said that if Lala Lajpat Rai had not died from the sticks of the British at that time, perhaps it would not have been forced to adopt the path of youth revolution like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. But independence to India The heroes of these three revolutions, who got Lala Lajpat Rai did not let the martyrdom go in vain. He avenged Lalaji’s death by shooting British police officer JP Saunders on December 17, 1928, one and a half months after Lajpat Rai’s death.
According to the facts of history, Lala Lajpat Rai, who was leading the protest against the arbitrary decision of British rule in Lahore on 30 October, became the biggest fork for the British and he was looking for a degree. How to dispose of this. So the protesters were lathi -charged on the orders of the Saunders, resulting in Lajpat Rai. After this, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were sent to jail on charges of throwing bombs in the current Parliament House.
But those three fans of independence of the country were neither cowards nor criminals. That is why after throwing the bomb, he did not run away from the assembly but stayed there so that the British police could take them into custody, but at the same time he also gave a message that “it was necessary to explode to recite the deaf ears, so we did this because we did it because we did our The intention was not to hurt anyone. ” This happened because no one was injured by his bomb. However, all three were also accused of killing Saunders.
It is said that Bhagat Singh’s name was not included in the FIR written in Urdu at the time of the Sounders murder case, but on 23 March 1931, Sukhdev and Rajguru were also hanged along with him. In fact, in 1928, the British in 1928 The Simon Commission was formed to prepare the report on the situation, which did not include any Indian. At the same time, Lajpat Rai led the non -violent march and strongly opposed it by presenting a resolution in the assembly to boycott the Simon Commission.
The slogan of their ‘Simon Go Back’, waving black flags on the British with a crowd of their supporters, had a widespread impact in the whole country. As a result, there was a fire in the entire country against Simon Commission and protests started taking place. On October 30, 1928, during the protests led by Lajpat in Lahore, the British lathi-charged the protesters. It is said that on that day Lajpat Rai was not spontaneously lathi-charged, but under a well-planned strategy, he was attacked by the British police. Because he became the greatest hero among those who rebel against British rule. He was seriously injured in that attack and breathed his last on 17 November 1928 exactly 18 days after lathicharge.
This was the time when Bhagat Singh and his colleagues led the movement against British rule. Gandhiji did not like it because he started realizing that if the freedom movement went into the hands of some youth, then there would be no one to ask him. That is why Gandhiji called Bhagat Singh & Company a group of wandering youth and said that violence can never get freedom. In Jawab, Bhagat Singh gave him full respect and said that like you, we also believe in non -violence, but what we we Adopting the path, it is also right and necessary because the revolution is not just the name of two words. This increases the intensity of ideas.
Therefore, we do not feel that we are adopting an inappropriate way to free our country from the shackles of British rule. It is also true that Bal-Lal and Pal i.e. Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpatarai and Vipin Chandra Pal to freedom struggle I am considered the leader of the militants and after his departure, Bhagat Singh and his colleagues also took the same path. Adoption. Mahatma Gandhi never accepted this path. That is why some historians claim that if Gandhi wanted, he could have saved Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev from hanging, but he did not do so.
Although this claim is also a matter of controversy, but we are not in a position to accept it as 100 percent. Arbindo Ghosh, Bipin Chandra Pal and Bal Gangadhar Tilak met all the Garam Dal leaders. He moved to America in 1917 and returned to India in 1920 and led him to a special session of the Congress party in 1921 and started the Non -Cooperation Movement from there. That movement was completely successful in Punjab.
For this reason, he is called the ‘Sher of Punjab’ and was given the title of ‘Punjab Kesari’. Lajpat Rai remained in jail from 1921 to 1923 due to this movement, but Lala Lajpat Rai also played an important role in strengthening the country financially. His contribution is still playing his role in the economy of modern India. Please tell that the second largest bank i.e. Punjab National Bank was founded by Lala Lajpat Rai. PNB was conceived as an indigenous bank.
It was the first bank in India to have full capital of Indians and all its property was in the hands of Indians. The Punjab National Bank started on 19 May 1894 with only 14 shareholders and 7 directors. He decided to rent a house in front of the post office in Anarkali Bazaar in Lahore and near the famous Ram Brothers Stores. And on 12 April 1895, a day before Baisakhi, the festival of Punjab, the bank opened for business. Then those 14 shareholders and 7 directors decided that they would hold very few shares in their hands and the actual rights on the bank would be in the hands of common shareholders.
