Yoga is most important for your fitness. It helps you maintain balance between your mind and body. If you wake up early in the morning, then one yoga asana that you should do daily is Malasana. Malasana is an excellent yoga asana. In which one gets benefits ranging from flexibility to better digestion. If you do yoga daily, then including Malasana in your yoga cycle can be beneficial. Drinking water while sitting in this posture also provides great benefits to health.

How to do Malasana

To do Malasana, stand on your mat with your feet hip-width apart. Now bend your knees and lower your hips towards the ground while coming into a squat position. Bring your hands palms together in front of the heart. During this, use your elbows to gently press your knees outwards. Keep in mind that your heels are on the ground and your spine is straight. When you reach this asana, drink water. You can also drink lukewarm water.

Benefits of drinking water in Malasana

Drinking water while sitting in Malasana can provide many benefits. When you drink water while sitting in this posture, it helps in hydrating the body and flushing out toxins. Apart from this, drinking water in Malasana can help in digestion. People who suffer from constipation or have stomach related problems should sit in this asana daily.

Malasana works on the organs around the hips and waist. When you drink water in Malasana, it removes toxins from the body. Malasana is also beneficial for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.
