The PAN card remains valid throughout his life. This is valid as long as the person is alive. PAN card is canceled only after the death of a person.
After death, a copy of the death certificate has to be submitted to the Income Tax Department to disable the PAN card.

In India, any person is allowed to keep only one PAN card. If someone has more than one PAN card accidentally or deliberately, it is illegal.
How much penalty will be imposed?
Under Section 272B of the Income Tax Act 1961, if a person has two or more PAN cards, then he can be fined ₹ 10,000.
If you have accidentally made two PAN cards, then you should surrender one of them immediately.

You can surrender your additional PAN card in both online or offline methods:
Online process:
Go to the income tax e-filing website
PAN go to Grievances Section
Choose the option of surrender pan and fill the required information
Offline process:
Fill the form “49A” or “Pan Correction Form”
Attach additional PAN card copy with form
Submit nearest NSDL or Utiitsl Center
How to make a new PAN card sitting at home?
Now you do not need to be in line for PAN card. You can make your new PAN card sitting at home, that too with the help of Aadhaar card:

E-filing portal Go to
Click on Instant Pan Through Aadhaar
Click “Get New Pan”
Enter your Aadhaar number
OTP will come on registered mobile, enter it
The e-pain card will be released immediately after the verification is completed
You can download this e-PAN or if you want, then you can also make a physical card.
