Gram and jaggery are offered here as offerings.
212 years austerity
Ajay Deoli, priest of Laxman Siddha temple, says that according to mythological beliefs, Laxman was blamed for Brahma killing in Treta Yuga after killing Ravana and Meghnad. Ravana was of the Brahmin caste and was also a worshiper of Shiva. He slaughtered Ravana’s son Meghnath when Meghnath was sitting in the worship of his total goddess. At that time he had no weapons. Due to this, Lakshmana also got Rajayakshma disease along with Brahma murder defect. For this, he came to Uttarakhand and did austerity of Lord Shiva for 212 years in Rishikesh. Pleased with this, Baba Bholenath appeared to him. Before going to Rishikesh, Laxman did penance at this place, where today is the Siddha temple.
One of 84 Siddhas

Later, these eighty -four disciples were called 84 Siddha and his tomb was considered as Siddhpeeth or Siddha temple. Among these 84 Siddhas, there are four proven of Dehradun, including Laxman Baba. This temple was named Laxman Siddhapeeth because he took samadhi here.
