Sonbhadra: An outbreak of diarrhea is being seen these days in Sonbhadra district of UP. The health department team, which has come into action after diarrhea patients were found in Karma, Ghorwal, Robertsganj, Babhni, Duddhi and Chopan development blocks, is continuously camping and distributing medicines and chlorine tablets to the people. District CMO Ashwani Singh himself has taken charge and is seen going to villages and advising people to drink pure water by boiling it and keep the surroundings of the houses clean.
These days more than 100 patients are admitted in different hospitals in the district. More than 40 patients reached the district hospital in just 24 hours. As per the intention of the government, better treatment is being provided by the doctors. District CMO Ashwani Singh himself is camping and distributing information and measures to prevent the increasing diarrhea to the people.
The CMO has also appealed to other NGOs to help locally. After which many NGOs are distributing medicines, setting up medical camps for on-the-spot treatment, maintaining cleanliness and making people aware.

A health camp has been organized in Pokhra village of Babhani under the joint banner of Hindalco Rural Development Department and CHC Babhani. To prevent diarrhea, 98 patients were examined and given medicines in the camp. Dr. Ashwani Singh advised the patients to drink only boiled water at home. Do not eat stale food. Do not let water accumulate in or around the house. Pay special attention to cleanliness.
During this period, more than 300 patients were treated in different areas of the district. Health camps are being organized in different areas of the district. Chlorine is being distributed among the people, mosquito nets are being used in villages, DDT is being sprayed and people are being advised to be aware and cautious.
