Mahendra used to cross the miles of desert from Amarkot to meet his beloved Mumal and come here. Lodrava city was the desert of Thar, situated on the banks of the Kak River. The remains of the temple of Mumal in this ruined Lodrava can still be seen today. This palace was built in the shape of a pillar, which is called the ‘Iknambhiya’ palace in folk tales. ‘Medi’ is the top room of the palace. All types of physical facilities were available in this temple of Mumal, equipped with forged windows. The unique beauty Mumal lived in this temple. This temple was home to many mysteries. Poisonous and dangerous creatures lived here, which could scare anyone. There were also many secret routes in the temple.

No unknown person could know these mysteries …
Mumal pledged that she would marry the same person who would know these mysteries and will affect her with her ability. The fame of this vow and beauty of Mumal had spread far and wide. In the then Sindh, Gujarat and Marwar, as well as Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan, its beauty was also discussed in folk songs. The prince, the king and the brave man used to reach the temple of Lodrava Mumal. But they failed to know his secret. Even if a rare intelligent person had reached Mumal, he would not be able to answer Mumal’s questions and would have fallen prey to his secrets.

Once upon a time…
One day Mahendra, the son of Rana of Amarkot, reached the Kak River in Lodrava state while hunting. On the other side of the river, it saw a beautiful garden and the forged temple built in it. He was pleased to see the temple in the deserted area. Then a friend of Mumal came and asked her. Mahendra introduced himself and asked for information about the temple, then he told that this forged temple and beautiful garden belonged to the same mumal, which is far and wide.

He swear that he would marry her who would win her heart …
Mumal swear that she would marry her who would win her heart. Otherwise she will remain unmarried throughout her life. After that his friend introduced Mahinder to Mumal. On seeing Mumal, Mahinder kept looking at him. Her eyes remained on Mumal’s face. The same happened to Mumal and then both fell in love with each other. They did not know when the night passed and when the morning sun rises. Mahinder did not feel like leaving Mumal and going back.

While leaving, Mahinder promised Mumal that he would return again …
Mahinder left for Amarkot by promising Mumal that he would come back, but on the way he did not see anything other than Mumal. That song was just humming, ‘Mhari Madhechi A. Mumal, Hale Ni Amaran Desh’ i.e. Mere Memal Ki Mumal, Walk with me. Mahendra reached Amarkot, then arranged a camel called Chital. Due to which he could reach Lodrava Mumal. Mahendra came out again at the third time of the night and reached Amarkot before dawn. Mahendra was married, he had seven wives. Mahendra’s seven wives erupted as soon as they heard the name of Mumal. He broke the legs of a camel called Chital, so that Mahendra could not go to Mumal without him.

Due to the conspiracy of his wives, Mahendra arrived late to meet Mumal …
When she reached Mumal’s palace in Lodrava, Mumal slept while waiting for her. On that day Mumal’s sister Sumal also came on the way. Both of them fell asleep while talking. Sumal was wearing men’s clothes and while talking, she wore men’s clothes and slept with her on Mumal’s bed. When Mahendra reached Mumal’s bed, he returned after seeing this scene. He kept thinking that the mumal for whom he was ready to give his life turned out to be like this. Meanwhile, as soon as Mumal’s eyes opened in the morning, she saw the whip falling from Mahendra’s hand, then she understood that Mahendra had come. But perhaps he had gone angry with something. For several days, Mumal kept waiting for Mahendra, thinking that he would come and when he comes, all the misconceptions would go away, but Mahendra did not come.

In his disconnection, Mumal gave up decorating, left eating and drinking, his golden body started to turn black. He wrote several letters to Mahendra, but Mahendra’s wives did not allow those letters to reach Mahendra. In the end, Mumal called a dholi (singer) and sent it to Mahendra, but he was also not allowed to meet Mahendra. He somehow managed to reach Mahendra’s palace and as soon as night, Dholi started singing in Mand raga, ‘Bina, Sodha Rana, this earth blurred Teri Mumal Rani is sad, real beloved Mahendra on the call of Mumal, now the house is now a house’. Mahendra’s heart did not melt even after listening to the Mandal sung by Dholi.

After this, Mumal prepared a chariot to go to Amarkot so that he could go to Amarkot and meet Mahendra and remove his misunderstanding. On the request of Mumal to meet Amarkot, Mahendra thought, maybe Mumal is holy, I think I have misunderstood and sent a message to Mumal that he would come to meet him in the morning. This message raised hopes to Mumal.

Mahendra thought at night, let’s see how much Mumal loves me. The worm of suspicion had already entered Mahendra’s mind, he tests Mumal. He sends a message to Mumal through one of his trusted servants that Mahendra has been bitten by a snake and he has died. Mumal gives up his life as soon as this message is received. Knowing the glow of Mumal’s character, Mahendra also gives up his life by calling ‘Mumal-Mumal-Mumal’. In this way, due to a doubt, this love story comes to a sad end. On one hand, the Kak River flowing in Lodrava near Jaisalmer is still telling the immortal love story of Mumal and Mahendra. On the other hand, Miss Mumal Beauty Competition is organized in the name of Mumal, the heroine of this Amar Prem Kahani, the heroine of this Amar Prem Kahani.
