The horror story of Lambi Dehar mines has been going on since the 1990s. According to local legend, at least 50,000 workers died in excruciating pain due to improper and faulty mining processes in the 1990s. Dehar mine of Mussoorie has now become a haunted mine. Many workers near the mine died of coughing up blood due to some lung disease. Due to these incidents, Lambi Dehar mine located in Mussoorie has now become a dreaded mine. Residents heard eerie sounds of crying and moaning throughout the night. Due to these incidents this mine was closed in the year 1996.

Lohaghat, Abbott Hill

There is a scary bungalow named Mukti Kothri in Lohaghat, located in Champawat district of Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi. This bungalow located at Abbott Hill is considered to be the most haunted place in the state. If legends are to be believed, this bungalow once belonged to a British family. This family had donated this bungalow to build a hospital. However, one day a new doctor came to this hospital, who predicted that he would indeed die. According to the local people, to prove his prediction correct, the doctor used to kill innocent patients by taking them to a room called ‘Mukti Kothri’. It is said that even today the souls of dead patients keep wandering in this bungalow.

Mullingar Mansion

Built before 1825 in Uttarakhand, the history of Mullingar Haveli will definitely mesmerize you and attract you towards this haveli. No one knows what happened to the owner of this mansion. How did this mansion become deserted and abandoned? No one has any information about this either. Local people say that strange incidents keep happening here every day. It is said that the ghost of Captain Young, the first owner of the manor still haunts the house.
