Brahmi Saag: For sleep, you can mainly use Brahmi which is known as Beng Saag. People also use it in the form of greens and vegetables. If it is consumed raw, it will prove to be more effective. By cooking Brahmi Saag, many of its nutritional properties are lost, so it should be used raw. It can be consumed in the form of Sharbat, Chatni. It will help you sleep well.
Ashwagandha Powder: Ashwagandha is an Ayurvedic medicine that helps in reducing stress and improving sleep. Taking it daily with milk or water helps in getting deep and better sleep. Take one teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder with warm milk half an hour before sleeping.
Pumpkin seeds: Pumpkin seeds contain an amino acid called tryptophan, which helps increase serotonin levels in the brain. This serotonin later turns into melatonin, which regulates sleep. Eat 2-3 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds daily as a snack or mix them in salads.
Lukewarm milk and honey: Drinking lukewarm milk mixed with honey is the oldest and most effective way to improve sleep. The tryptophan and carbohydrates present in it help calm the brain and induce sleep. Drink a glass of lukewarm milk mixed with one teaspoon of honey 30 minutes before going to bed.
Licorice powder: Licorice root has anti-stress and anti-body properties. It naturally cools the body and helps relax the mind. Mix one teaspoon of licorice powder in warm water and drink it before going to bed.
Papaya: Papaya helps in increasing sleep by improving digestion. Its regular consumption is effective in regulating the sleep cycle. Eat papaya 30 minutes after dinner.
