Niramay Yojana of Rat Government is an insurance scheme. Which has been brought especially for the disabled. Only disabled people can apply for this insurance scheme. Under Niramay Bima Yojana, medical cover up to Rs 1 lakh is provided. OPD, treatment, medicines, surgery, medical tests are all included in this scheme.

There is no need to appear for any exam beforehand to apply for the scheme. Under the scheme, disabled people from BPL families will have to pay Rs 250. Whereas the disabled who do not come under the category of BPL family will have to pay Rs 500 for this.

Disability allowance is also given to the disabled by the government. Pension arrangements have been made under this. Under the Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme, a pension of ₹1500 is given every month to the disabled.
