The government also provides accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh along with financial assistance. About 28.42 crore people in the country had got e-Shram cards made. Any Indian citizen working in the unorganized sector can enroll in this scheme.
The enrollment age is between 16 to 59 years. E-Labor Card Scheme is a scheme which aims to bring together the workers and workers of the unorganized sector of the country. Under this scheme, the central government provides financial assistance to laborers and workers.
Under the scheme, an accident insurance benefit of Rs 2 lakh is provided to the eligible people with financial assistance by the Central Government. All laborers in the country like hawkers, vegetable vendors, domestic workers and youth doing small jobs can avail the benefits of the e-Labor Card Scheme.
Cards of workers and workers are generated after a few days of registration through the e-Shram portal. Under this portal, efforts are being made to connect all the laborers of the country on one platform. If the central government launches any scheme in future then it will provide benefits to the registered workers and workers with the help of this portal. At present, an accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh is provided to those who enroll on it.
Some important documents are required to register on this portal. The applicant should have documents like Aadhar card, passport size photo, income certificate, bank passbook etc.
To get e-labor card you have to apply online. To apply, first of all you go to e-Shram portal and register on e-Shram option. After this now enter your mobile number and OTP. Then submit the application for e-shram card form, the registration process will be completed.
