The state government has given a great gift to women before Diwali. After which now UP Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has said that about 1.75 crore families of the state will get free LPG cylinders before Diwali. There was a provision of Rs 3301.74 crore to provide cylinders in the last budget. The state government will send Rs 660 to the account of every beneficiary of Ujjwala scheme with the budget amount. At the same time, the central government will give Rs 300 as a subsidy.
Under this system, these families will be able to get free gas cylinders before Diwali. At the same time, free gas cylinder will be given from this budget on the occasion of Holi. At present, the PM cabinet has increased the subsidy for the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme from Rs 200 to Rs 300.
According to reports, beneficiary families will first have to fill a cylinder of 14.2 kg. After 5 days, the amount of cylinder will be transferred by the oil companies to the beneficiary’s account. Free cylinder facility will be available on the same connection of Ujjwala scheme. Under the scheme, beneficiaries will be able to get 1 cylinder free in October-December 2023 of financial year 2023-24 and 1 cylinder in the January-March 2024 quarter.
