Avoid making these mistakes in case of dry skin:
Excessive scrubbing: Exfoliation is necessary to remove dead skin cells. However, too much exfoliation can take away the natural oils of the skin, which can increase dryness. Those with dry skin should do exfoliation once or twice a week. Also, use exfolients that do not harm the skin. Apart from this, do not rub the skin too much during scrubbing.
Do not apply moisturizer immediately after bathing: The moisturizer should always be used at the right time or there is no benefit. If your skin is dry then apply moisturizer immediately after bathing. By applying moisturizer after bathing, it locks moisture more effectively and improves the hydration level of the skin. Also choose a moisturizer that contains plenty of amolients and human beings.
Do not drink enough water: If you do not drink much water, then it will also be seen on dry skin. Drinking water helps to keep skin cells hydrated, which reduces dryness. To maintain health from inside your skin, aim to drink at least eight glasses of water daily. Additionally, eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon and walnuts.
Use of hard soap/cleanser: If you also use hard soap or cleanser on your face, it can make the skin even more dry. They remove the natural oils of the skin, which can cause dryness and irritation. Use soap or cleanser prepared for your skin that are natural.
