On the completion of 11 years of the Narendra Modi government at the Center, the Congress on Monday alleged that it has been 11 years of ‘unannounced Emergency’ and the promise of ‘Achhe Din’ has proved to be ‘nightmare’ in reality.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge claimed that in the last 11 years, every section of 140 million people was “disturbed”.
Kharge said in a post written in Hindi on X, “By converting big ‘promises’ into ‘hollow claims’ in 26 May 2014 – 11 years, the Modi government has ruined the country so that the promise of ‘good day’ has now proved to be a ‘nightmare’.”
Kharge said, “Youth – Promise of two crore jobs annually, millions of jobs disappeared. Farmer – Income did not double, rubber bullets were lost from above. Women – Women – The conditions were imposed on reservation, security was tired. Weak class – SC ST/OBC/Minorities, terrible atrocities on minorities.”
Regarding the economy, Kharge claimed that inflation is at its peak and there was a flood of unemployment. He further claimed that the consumption is ‘stalled’, Make in India has become ‘flop’ and inequality is also at its peak.
Kharge alleged in his post, “Foreign policy – promise was ‘Vishwaguru’, relations with every country deteriorated. Democracy – RSS attacks every column, misuses ED/CBI, the autonomy of institutions was ruined.”
He said, “Every section of 140 million people is upset. This has been the same mark of lotus in the last 11 years !!”
Congress general secretary and communication in -charge Jairam Ramesh said in a post in Hindi on X, “Today is 26 May 2025. Today, there is an unannounced emergency at 11 o’clock. ”In 2014, Narendra Modi took the oath of Prime Minister for the first time on this day.
Prime Minister Modi was sworn in for the third term on 9 June last year and his government has gone among the people to highlight its major steps and gather support for his programs.
