Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that 14 Naxalites were killed in a joint operation by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Special Operations Group (SOG) Odisha and Chhattisgarh Police on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, which is “a war on Naxalism”. And it’s a big blow.

Shah said that Naxalism is breathing its last breath today due to the resolve of ‘Naxal-free India’ and the joint efforts of the security forces.

Shah wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Another huge blow to Naxalism.” Our security forces have achieved great success towards building a ‘Naxal-free India’. CRPF, SOG Odisha and Chhattisgarh Police killed 14 Naxalites in a joint operation on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border.

The Maoists were killed in the latest firing that took place late Monday night and Tuesday morning in the forest under Mainpur police station area on the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border, an official said.
