The Indian Army has launched Operation Kanchi in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this search operation, the army got information about the presence of terrorists in Naushera. On the night of 8 September 2024, the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a joint raid in the Lam area of Naushera. After a few hours of encounter, the security forces killed the terrorists.

According to the security forces, a large number of weapons have been recovered from the terrorists. The terrorists had many weapons including 2 AK-47 and 1 pistol. It is clear that the terrorists were planning to carry out a major conspiracy in the valley.

He wrote that based on intelligence information ‘Operation Kanchi’, the conspiracy of terrorists has been foiled in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police. The Indian Army conducted this search operation in Lam of Naushera on the night of 8 September. Two terrorists have been killed. A large number of weapons including 2 AK-47 and 1 pistol have been recovered from the terrorists.
