Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to Shivaji Maharaj and said that he would always be remembered as a nation builder.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Wednesday on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Shivneri Fort in Pune.
Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar participated in various programs including ‘cradle ceremony’ at Shivneri Fort on the occasion of Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary.
A large number of his followers also gathered in the fort to attend the Maratha king’s 395th birthday ceremony.
Shivaji Maharaj was born on 19 February 1630 at the Shivneri Fort in Pune. The birthday of the famous Maratha ruler is celebrated during the festival of Jayanti. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the 17th century Indian warrior king who founded the Maratha Empire. He is considered one of the greatest warriors in Indian history.
In 1670, in 1670, in 1674, he laid the foundation of the Maratha Empire in western India. Apart from creating a well -organized administrative system, Shivaji Maharaj established a comprehensive civil code for the local people.
The main objective of this day is to honor the contribution of the great warrior in the restoration of the Maratha Empire and recognize his broad legacy.
