New Delhi, November 1 (IANS). Firecrackers were banned by the Delhi government on Diwali in the capital Delhi. Still there were a lot of fireworks. A total of 48 burn patients were admitted to AIIMS.
According to the information received by Delhi AIIMS, a total of 48 patients were admitted to AIIMS on October 31. Out of which 19 patients are admitted in ICU. Out of which the condition of 11 patients remains critical. Their age is between 10 years to 25 years. The eyes of 11 out of 48 patients have been affected. At the same time, 19 people’s hands were injured.
Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg said that no major call was received yesterday, but a lot of calls were received. Yesterday around 192 calls were received from 5 pm to 12 midnight and around 158 calls were received from 12 midnight to 6 am. It is a matter of relief that no major incident took place. Small fire incidents occurred, including one in Vikaspuri in which two people became unconscious. 1 fire incident occurred in Mangolpuri in which a woman and 2 children were injured. This time we had increased the fire force, hence wherever we got information we immediately reached there.
At the same time, about 60 incidents of fire were reported in different areas of Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi on the night of Diwali. According to the Fire Department Ghaziabad, they had received 60 calls about fire from different areas of Ghaziabad last night. During this time, based on the information, the fire brigade team reached the spot and the fire was brought under control. The fortunate thing is that no casualties were reported in these incidents.
On Diwali, on October 31, a total of 60 fires were reported at fire stations in the district. In which 21 fire incidents were received in Vaishali area, 17 in Kotwali area, 1 in Modinagar area, 7 in Loni area, 14 in Sahibabad area.
