AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal released the party’s manifesto on Monday before the Delhi Assembly elections to be held on 5 February. On the occasion of issuing the manifesto, Kejriwal targeted the BJP and accused it of copying AAP’s promised regime.

He said, “We first coined the word ‘guarantee’ in the country. After us the BJP stole it, but the difference is that we fulfill our guarantee and they do not.”
The manifesto mentions 15 guarantees, in which Kejriwal has promised “strong” employment creation for Delhiites as his first guarantee.
Under the second guarantee under the Mahila Samman Yojana, women have been assured of monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,100. Free healthcare will be provided for senior citizens under Sanjeevani Yojana.
The fourth guarantee promises to waive the outstanding “increased” water bills, while the fifth guarantee has supplied clean drinking water round the clock in every house in the national capital. Other major promises include the commitment to clean the polluted Yamuna River and make Delhi’s roads world -class.
Under the Babasaheb Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme, AAP has promised scholarship to SC and ST students to study abroad. Male students will also get the benefit of this, they will get 50 percent discount on free travel and metro fare in bus.
The manifesto promises to give priests and gurdwara glands a monthly financial assistance of Rs 18,000 and free electricity and water benefits to tenants.
In addition, AAP has promised to improve Delhi’s sewage system, issue ration cards to those left out of the system and provide financial assistance to auto and cab drivers. The party has also promised to give insurance coverage of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh for the marriage of their daughters.
The Resident Welfare Association (RWA) will also be given funds to appoint security guards and to overcome local security concerns.
Kejriwal emphasized that if you come to power, its current free welfare schemes will continue, which provides a profit of about Rs 25,000 per month to Delhi residents.
He said, “The BJP has already made it clear that if they come to power, they will stop all these schemes. I want to ask the people of Delhi – if the BJP stops these benefits, then do you Will you be able to bear the expenses? “
The manifesto is being re -confirmed to re -confirm the philosophy of AAP, in which improvement in welfare and infrastructure has been given priority.
The upcoming elections are expected to be a tough competition between the two parties due to the BJP’s threat to spoil the status quo. The election results will be announced on 8 February. These elections are being seen as a referendum on the AAP government’s governance model, which is largely dependent on free welfare schemes.
