New Delhi, September 7 (IANS). BJP MP from Delhi Yogendra Chandolia has reacted on the alliance of AAP and Congress in the Haryana assembly elections. While talking to IANS, he said that if Aam Aadmi Party and Congress form an alliance in Haryana, it will not make any difference to BJP.
Sometimes Aam Aadmi Party supports one party and sometimes it decides to contest alone there. Sometimes they support, sometimes they don’t. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party contested together on seven Lok Sabha seats.
But they fought separately in Punjab. They focus only on political gains. Whether they form an alliance or not does not matter to us, but they are getting exposed. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal used to swear on his children that he would never form an alliance with the Congress. But, he forms an alliance with the Congress and then breaks it.
He said that Delhi Congress state president Devendra Yadav says that there will be no compromise in Delhi. I want to tell him to take permission from Rahul Gandhi before making any statement. Whatever decision Rahul Gandhi takes will be the final decision.
Let us tell you that at one point Aam Aadmi Party and Congress were planning to contest the Haryana assembly elections separately. Statements from senior Congress leaders had started coming that Congress candidates will fight strongly on 90 assembly seats. However, now the smell of alliance has started coming in the statements of Congress leaders.
This is the reason why Congress has now started saying that the India alliance contested the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana. The people of Haryana and the country also saw the results. India alliance managed to win 5 seats out of 10 Lok Sabha seats. Therefore, there is no harm in going with the alliance. However, Congress is not agreeing to give more than 5 seats to AAP.
