Terming the Aam Aadmi Party a party of separatism, terrorism and anarchy, BJP leader Anurag Thakur on Monday accused it of supporting separatists and raised questions over fake threats to bomb Delhi schools.
There was no immediate reaction from AAP on the allegations. Thakur said in a press conference that Congress and AAP look different from outside, but are same from inside.
Thakur said, “AAP came to power by talking about the corruption of the Congress. But now the ‘A’ in AAP is also known for ‘anarchy’, ‘separatism’, ‘terrorism’, ‘rumour’ and ‘criminal’. goes.
He said that Congress and AAP were seen joining hands on the issue of Afzal Guru’s hanging and surgical strike. Thakur said that while the entire country was waiting for the hanging of Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru, some people were trying to get the President to pardon him.
He did not take anyone’s name. He asked, “Whose NGO came forward to commute Afzal Guru’s death sentence? Whose relatives, parents were involved in it. Will (Delhi Chief Minister) Atishi and (Arvind) Kejriwal say anything or remain silent?”
Thakur asked which politicians had stayed at the houses of “supporters of terrorists” during the Punjab elections. He claimed that there are political parties which support separatists and terrorists and also take donations from them.
Thakur said that some people spread rumors about bomb blasts and cause trouble to parents of school children in Delhi.
Addressing Atishi and Kejriwal, he then asked, “Who is associated with those who spread rumors of bomb blasts? Atishi ji, Kejriwal ji, will you answer?”
He alleged that Kejriwal and AAP are old players in creating anarchy and sensationalism.
Delhi Police had recently claimed that a Class 12 student had sent fake bomb threats to over 400 schools in the city and that his parents were associated with an NGO supporting a political party. However, the police did not reveal the name of that political party.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva also addressed the press conference and said that everyone knows about the connection of the NGO. He said that AAP’s ‘sleeper cell’ is trying to disturb social harmony and peace in Delhi before the assembly elections to be held on February 5.
He also asked why only private schools received the fake calls and wanted to know who was behind giving the data of the schools to the juvenile accused.
