New Delhi, January 8 (IANS). When Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders along with the media came to visit the residence of the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister on Wednesday, Delhi Police stopped them. There was a long argument between the police and AAP leaders regarding this, but the police did not allow them to go inside the residence.
AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal posted on social media, “I have heard that there is also a throne in the ‘Raj Mahal’, which is worth more than Rs 150 crore.” Whereas, Manish Sisodia said on X, “When Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bhardwaj went to expose their lies, out of fear of exposing the propaganda, the abusive party put forward the police and blocked their way. If the country had come to know that the CM residence does not have a swimming pool, sleeping toilet and mini bar, then the abuse party’s abuses would have been proved false.”
In fact, at 11 am on Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party leaders first reached the CM residence with the media. But, Delhi Police stopped them by barricading there. During this, Saurabh Bhardwaj, while telling the police the reason for going inside the CM residence, said that BJP alleges that there is a swimming pool, sleeping toilet and mini bar in the residence. We have come to show the media where all this is? But, the police did not allow him to go inside.
After this the party leaders left for the Prime Minister’s residence. But, he was stopped on the way by Delhi Police. There was an argument between them for some time, but the police did not allow them inside the Prime Minister’s residence and turned them away from a distance.
In this regard, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia said on Twitter, “It is important for the people of the country to know how chandeliers worth crores, expensive carpets and pens worth lakhs come into existence. Those who defame Arvind Kejriwal should understand that we are truthful, honest and on the basis of this honesty, we have the courage to expose the lies of BJP in front of the public. This is the cry of the common man.
When the police stopped AAP leaders outside the Prime Minister’s residence, they said that BJP’s lies have been exposed in front of the entire country today. These people used to say that the Chief Minister’s residence has a sleeping toilet, mini bar and swimming pool. We took the media there. But a police camp was set up and we were not allowed to go there. We said that let us see the Prime Minister’s palace which has been built worth Rs 2,700 crore. When they came here, the police made a camp and stopped them. This means our allegations are completely true.
The leaders further said that the key to the Chief Minister’s residence is with the PWD, but the Prime Minister is here. His house is open. He can show everyone. If BJP is running this debate then why is it not showing the Prime Minister’s residence?
