New Delhi, September 21 (IANS). ABVP on Saturday released a manifesto based on the 5-P model (admission, campus, curriculum, examination, result) for the student union elections to be held in Delhi University (DU). ABVP has prepared this manifesto based on the suggestions received from more than 5 thousand students.
The manifesto released by ABVP includes important topics such as working on issues related to admission, campus, curriculum, examination and results, implementing employment-oriented education system, establishing an inclusive and comprehensive redressal system and providing visionary leadership to create a positive and safe educational environment in Delhi University.
ABVP’s National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla said that the manifesto of the Vidhyarthi Parishad highlights the real issues of DU students. Along with the development of infrastructure as per the current requirements, construction of new hostels, issues of disabled and girl students have been given a prominent place in the manifesto of ABVP. ABVP will prominently take the issues of its manifesto among the DU students in the upcoming days of campaigning.
ABVP’s candidate for the post of President in DUSU, Rishabh Chaudhary said that DU students have always had faith in the strong and capable leadership of ABVP. This year, we will work on important topics like infrastructural development of DU colleges, ‘one course-one fee’ for PG courses, supplementary examinations for final year students, high-tech reading rooms in every college, effective implementation of National Education Policy, Wi-Fi enabled campus, single dashboard for resolving problems, employment fair through placement cell and will work to establish DU at the top on the global platform.
ABVP panel’s DUSU vice president candidate Bhanu Pratap Singh said that while ABVP remains active throughout the year for students studying on campus, other student organisations, like election frogs, are visible only during election days.
ABVP candidate for the post of Secretary in DUSU, Mitravrinda Karanwal said that the able student leadership of ABVP has worked to create a positive atmosphere in DU in the past years and has made every possible effort to empower women.
Aman Kapasiya, candidate for the post of Joint-Secretary from ABVP panel, said that by continuously working in student interests, ABVP has left an effective mark on the minds of students in DU.
