New Delhi, December 9 (IANS). In view of the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party on Monday announced the names of candidates for 20 seats in its second list.
After getting the ticket from Adarsh Nagar assembly seat, Mukesh Goyal has expressed gratitude to Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
Regarding fielding teacher Avadh Ojha from Patparganj assembly seat in place of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Mukesh Goyal said that our candidates are contesting on 70 out of 70 seats in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal has instructed Manish Sisodia to contest from Jangpura. I think this is a very good thing. There is no such thing as Aam Aadmi Party can make any worker contest elections from any assembly seat.
The second list of Aam Aadmi Party has also come but the seats of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and current Chief Minister Atishi have not been announced. Regarding this, Mukesh Goyal says that everyone should be rest assured, Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi’s popular Chief Minister Atishi will contest elections from any constituency and will definitely win. There is no need for anyone to doubt about this, 70 out of 70 seats in Delhi are safe for them.
Manish Sisodia said that it does not matter whether he contests from Patparganj or Jangpura. What matters is that we and our party workers are contesting the elections to make Kejriwal the CM of Delhi again. On the basis of the work I have done while being the MLA of Patparganj, I can say that we will register victory for the third consecutive time. Teacher Avadh Ojha is contesting elections from there. He had expressed his desire to contest elections from Patparganj and the party accepted it.
AAP candidate from Gandhinagar assembly constituency Naveen Chaudhary said that I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the party leadership, especially Arvind Kejriwal, for considering me capable and trusting me. Secondly there are many issues there, roads are broken, drains are in bad condition and very foul smelling drains which need cleaning. All these development works will remain our priority.
AAP candidate from Mustafabad assembly constituency, Adil Khan said that our strategy is very clear. We will go door to door in every area of Mustafabad and spread the ideology of Arvind Kejriwal. We will tell people how Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to stop the development work in Delhi.
AAP MLA Parveen Kumar Deshmukh said that it is a very happy day because Manish Sisodia ji, who has made his name in the field of education across the country, is coming to my constituency Jangpura. What could be more joyful than this? The people here will win the elections with a huge margin and send him to the assembly. When it came to light that Awadh Ojha was going to contest elections from Patparganj, I told Arvind Kejriwal that if possible, I would be very happy if Manish Sisodia contests from Jangpura.
