The administration has ordered the closure of schools. Indian Railways has also canceled 140 trains passing through both the states.
PM Modi spoke to the Chief Ministers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken stock of the situation by talking to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. PM Modi has assured all possible help to both the states. Apart from this, Home Minister Amit Shah has also spoken to the Chief Ministers of both the states.
6000 thousand people got stuck at the stations
South Central Railway has announced the cancellation of 140 trains. At the same time, the routes of 97 trains have been diverted. According to reports, more than 6000 passengers are stranded at different stations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Rescue teams have evacuated 17,000 flood-affected people to safer places. Vijayawada is suffering the most damage due to the floods. More than 2.5 lakh people have been affected by the floods here.
IMD issued a 4 day alert
Let us tell you that it has been raining heavily in Hyderabad since last night. Due to this, the entire city is flooded. The Meteorological Department had already issued a red alert for rain in Hyderabad. In such a situation, a holiday has been declared in all the schools of the city today i.e. on September 2. The situation is very bad due to the floods. Many places have lost connectivity due to flooding of roads. A bridge near the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana border has also broken due to flood water. Terrible traffic is also being seen on the national highways of both the states.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains with thunderstorms and storms are expected in Andhra Pradesh for the next 4 days from September 2 to September 5. Some people are also living in similar conditions in Telangana. Due to floods in Hyderabad, not only schools have been closed but people working in IT companies have also been given work from home.
