Big cities like Hyderabad and Vijayawada are also flooded. The government has held a meeting of officials to assess the situation. At the same time, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy have also held an emergency meeting. The situation in Khammam district is said to be the worst. More than 110 villages here are completely submerged in the floods. So far 9 people have died.

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that 119 people are stranded on mountains and buildings. Who are waiting for rescue. He has also uploaded a post on X (formerly Twitter) regarding this. He has written that the Union Home Minister has been apprised of the situation. 110 villages of Khammam district have been submerged. 9 people are stranded on Prakash Nagar hill. 68 people are stranded on Thanda hill in Paliyar area. At the same time, 42 people are waiting for relief inside the buildings. 9 teams of NDRF have been sent to Telangana by the Central Government.

According to Sanjay Kumar, these teams have been called from Visakhapatnam, Assam and Chennai. Heavy rains have also caused damage in Andhra Pradesh. Vehicles have submerged in many places in Ramakrishnapuram area and Vijayawada. Police is also working in collaboration with NDRF. People have been sent to rehabilitation centers. The government has declared a holiday in the schools of the state on September 2. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Telangana.
Heavy rain alert has been issued in Adilabad and Mahbubnagar. People’s houses have collapsed in many areas. So far 99 trains have been cancelled. At the same time, the route of 54 has been diverted. Cyberabad JCP Joel Davis has urged the employees of private IT companies to work from home.
