He himself informed the police
According to the information revealed, this sequence started in 2019 when a man named Colby Trickle called 911 and informed that his wife Christine Trickle had shot herself. However, initially the police suspected that this could also be a case of murder. But later investigation and postmortem report made it clear that Christine died due to bullet injury. And there were no fingerprints on the revolver from which the shot was fired. Apart from this, there were no injury marks on the woman’s body, which suggests some kind of scuffle before the murder. So this became a case of suicide.
An amount of about Rs 1 crore was received from insurance.
The same police investigation also revealed that Colby had two life insurance policies in the name of his 26-year-old wife, Christine. In this way, after the death of his wife, he received a huge amount of about one lakh 20 thousand dollars.
Bought sex doll the day after wife’s death
But police investigation revealed that Colby bought a sex doll for himself within two days of receiving his wife’s insurance money. Apart from this, he used the money from his wife’s insurance to pay off his old debts and spend it on fun. Police investigation revealed that Colby had spent about 2 thousand dollars for the sex doll.
The entire amount was spent in 8 months
Police investigation also revealed that Colby squandered an amount of around Rs 1 crore in just 8 months. But on July 14, 2021, nearly two years after Christine Trickle’s death, police charged Colby Trickle with murder. Colby was charged not only with murder, but also with serious charges of misleading the police and destroying evidence.
Mother’s strange statement in court
Last year i.e. in September of 2023, during their investigation, the police found out that Colby had a strange habit of buying sex dolls. However, a strange statement from Colby’s mother also came to light regarding this. In a statement to police, Colby’s mother Tina Kreutzer said that her son had purchased the doll for his own comfort, not for sex. His mother argued that Colby was going through a tough time these days. He suffers from severe insomnia since the death of his wife. And that’s why he bought this doll so that he could sleep.
Court sentenced to life imprisonment
However, this argument of Colby’s mother did not work in the court and in November the court sentenced Colby to life imprisonment.
