37 घंटे की लोकसभा चर्चा के बाद सांसद की चौंकाने वाली मांग, बोले -

There were 120 hours fixed for discussion in the Lok Sabha, but only 37 hours were discussed. A large part of it was to discuss Operation Sindoor. Most of the time was spent in the uproar, due to which the bill was passed without adequate discussion. In view of the proceedings of the House, Independent MP from Daman and Diu has made such a demand from which he has come into the limelight. In fact, Independent MP Umesh Patel from Union Territory of Daman and Diu protested in the Parliament House complex with banners. He said that if the House does not run, then the salary and other benefits of MPs should be stopped.

What did Umesh Patel say?

Umesh Patel said that if the House does not run, then the money of its expenses should be deducted from the salary of MPs. Umesh Patel arrived with a banner, which was written- “Apologize, the ruling party and the opposition apologize”. He demanded from the government that if the House does not run, then MPs should not get salary and other benefits. He also said that the expenditure incurred on the House in this session should be made with the pockets of MPs, because when the House does not run, then why should the public pay this expenditure.

Umesh has raised such demand before

About two weeks ago, Umesh Patel raised a similar demand. He had said- If the House does not work, then MPs should not get allowance. He said that MPs get allowance, but the work of the public is not done. He alleged that the House is not being allowed to run due to the ego of both the ruling party and the opposition, while the opposition parties are blaming the government for this.
