After the removal of Article 370, BJP ensured equal rights for all in Jammu and Kashmir: Kavinder Gupta

Jammu, Sep 10 (IANS) BJP spokesperson and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta said on Tuesday that after the abrogation of Article 370, the BJP has ensured equal rights for all in Jammu and Kashmir.

Regarding the electoral state Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta said that “After the removal of Article 370, the Bharatiya Janata Party has ensured equal rights for everyone in Jammu and Kashmir, be it the Valmiki community or women’s rights. The BJP has taken care of everyone.”

The BJP spokesperson said, “Earlier, even Omar Abdullah’s sister did not have such rights after marrying outside the state. Now, after the removal of Article 370, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given all these rights to everyone.”

Regarding former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, the BJP leader said, “Mehbooba Mufti knows the ideology of Engineer Rashid and the path he has adopted. There was a scuffle during the tenure of the previous government, and slaps were also given. She is trying to link it to the BJP. Recently Mehbooba Mufti faced defeat in the elections. Naturally, there will be an attempt to blame the BJP for this.”

On the information given about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the book of former Union Home Minister and veteran Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde, the BJP leader said, “Sushil Kumar Shinde has written in his book that the situation in Kashmir has changed. Today, even Pakistan praises Kashmir and there are figures too. Nearly 25 million tourists have come to Kashmir and stone pelting is no longer seen. Recently, the opposition leader was seen playing in the snow with his sister in Gulmarg and also took a selfie at the Lal Chowk selfie point.”
