Ranchi, October 23 (IANS). For the Jharkhand Assembly elections, Congress released the first list of party candidates for 21 seats late on Monday night.
Former MP Dr. Ajay Kumar has been declared the candidate by Congress Party from Jamshedpur East Assembly Constituency. After this announcement, many senior party leaders reached his residence and greeted him.
District Congress Working President Dharmendra Sonkar congratulated Dr. Ajay Kumar by presenting him a shawl and a bouquet and also claimed his victory.
Ajay Kumar said that I will work to live up to the trust with which the Congress Party has nominated him. The way BJP has fielded candidates, a glimpse of nepotism is clearly visible. I hope the public will give us a chance to work.
Congress party’s current MLAs include Dr. Irfan Ansari from Jamtara, Badal Patralekh from Jarmundi, Pradeep Yadav from Podaiyahat, Deepika Pandey Singh from Mahagama, Rameshwar Oraon from Lohardaga, Amba Prasad Sahu from Barkagaon, Kumar Jaimangal from Bermo, Purnima Neeraj Singh from Jharia, Banna Gupta from Jamshedpur West, Rajesh Kachhap from Khijri, Shilpi Neha Tirkey from Mandar, Bhushan Bada from Simdega, Naman Viksal Kongadi from Kolebira and Ramchandra Singh from Manika have been made candidates.
